How Amazing God Is!!

i don't think that I've shared this with anyone before, my i believe that it is time to do so now!!

a few months ago my family and i were on our way home from a baseball game, when our van broke down(2-3 miles from our house!!)! now at the the time that the van broke down i was very down, because i was thinking of all the stuff that was being thrust upon me(because i am the man of the house). so anyway, i was bummed out, and needed cheering up, and for some reason, i didn't ask God for help with my problems!! a few minutes later, my little bro' said, "hey John, check out this podcast on my Zune!" and i thought, "i'm really bummed out, i really don'y want to look at this right now." but i watch it anyway. after about 7-10 of the 13 minutes the podcasts takes, i start laughing my head of, thus cheering me up!! God answered my need, even though i didn't think to ask Him for Help! this is proof of how amazing He is!! He is always there for His children, even if we don't realise it!!

For The Curious

hey all, here's a chance for y'all to get to know me better!!

My name is John Treebeard(not my real middle name, just a really cool nickname! and I'm not going to put my last name....just in case!), and I currently live in SC!--I was born i California 15 years ago, but after 4 years of living there, my family made the choice to move to SC, so we could be closer to my Dad's family! *grumble*....It is really quite interesting living here, because we have a LOT of red-necks around here! my Dad's family has about 150 people in it(only including cousins and aunts/uncles! i know about 30 of them!)!!--my Dad was married once before my Mom, and he had 3 kids by his first wife. my half-siblings are all in the 40's or late-30's!! then after my Dad and his First wife got a divorce, my Mom and Dad met at a company that they both worked for. after they got married, they had 3 boys! my older bro(18, almost 19), Me, and my lil' bro(13)! I am homeschooled, and i also go to a homeschool co-op! 2 years ago, when i first started going going to the co-op, i took a speech class, and met the 2 people that are known on DK as Saph, and Arakni!! when i was just starting out, they were just some weird girls who were in my class! now, Saph is one of my best-friends ever, and Arakni is right up there as well! but besides these 2 girls, i dont have very many actual friends(as in people who like me for me, and want to hang around with me!) in real-life. i'm one of those people that you either like, or you have nothing to do with them if you can help it! but some of my best-friends are on DK, and they are AMAZING!!!

thats all for now, but i might post more later! any questions, feel free to ask!

My Writing

Hey guys, here's one of the articles that i wrote for my co-op's newsletter!! Enjoy!!!

Co-op Field Day-
Summer vacation is one of the best times of the year. No school, no homework, no worrying about report cards. But unfortunately, summer has to come to an end. Children have to return to school, their fun over until next summer-Unless you go to the Upstate Home-school Co-op.
Every year after the summer, a few weeks onto the school year, Co-op director Susanne Brown hosts an event called “Field Day” at her house. This event consists of several physical activities, and students of all ages are allowed to compete. The activities for the Elementary students include a Crab Walk, 50-yard Run, a Long Jump, and a Baseball Throw. Middle/High-school students do more physically demanding activities such as Soccer, football, volleyball, or a Batting Cage.
When Field Day officially starts, Elementary students compete in a couple of events. After those events, everybody eats dinner. After dinner, the rest of the Elementary events are completed, the Batting Cage is opened, and Soccer, Football, and Volleyball commence. When all of the events all finished, everybody eats dessert, and the awards are handed out.
Some of the top competitors are Sam brown, Lucus Miles, Julia Alix, Leah Hurley, and Savannah Hall. All of the students who competed are fantastic athletes, and they are all winners, no matter what.

School

what can i say? school is school! but it can be very annoying! right now i am taking Biology, Spanish 2, and Geometry at my home-school co-op, and Lit., and History at home! so far, i'm only 1/4 of the way through the school year, but it's frustrating/fun!! -my Spanish class is awesome!!! we have so much fun, but we still learn everything that we need to! -Bio is also very fun! one of my best friends is in the class with me, and we "bicker"(as the teacher called it) all the time! we are always lab-partners! whenever we use microscopes, we bicker(playfully) over everything concerning the experiment, and even things that don't! -Geometry is also sort of fun(sometimes), but it is also frustrating! i have some really good friends in the class, so that helps make it fun, but i am VERY behind on homework! -Lit. is frustrarting, because i'm going through the LOTR series, but its not very exciting right now, so i just cant seem to be able to do the work the i need to!

as i've said before, school is school! but hopefully it will get better!

My Dad

So far, my Dad's medical illness has been very frustrating! He thinks that his way is right, and any other way is wrong!! If you try tell him other-wise, he'll yell, get angry, and storm off!!! if you do anything that upsets him, he'll get angry, and maybe even get violent! he is constantly forgetting very important thing, like where his glasses are, or taking his medicine! As i've mentioned before, my Mom can't rely on him anymore. If you are trying to fix something around the house, and he starts to try to help, he'll make it worse!

All of this has been going on for the last 3 years, and so far, he is only in the beginning stage!! please pray for me and my family!

So Far, So Good!

hey all!!

my name is John, and this is my blog!! this blog is call "My Life For Him" because I am a Christian, and i want to live my life for God!

so far, in my 14(15 in 1 week!) years, my life has been pretty crazy! I am the second of 3 kids in my family, and that can be very annoying! sometimes i wish that i was an only child, but then, i find out that God has my brothers in my life for a reason!
--2 or 3 years ago, my Dad was diagnosed with a disease called Alzheimer's. it slowly erases the person's memory, and after several years, the person has to be put in a nursing home, for safety. right now, my Dad is driving everyone in my house crazy(me more than the others!!)! when somebody asks for help, he does what he thinks is helpful(which 98% of the time it isn't helpful!), instead of what needs to be done. he has a One-track mind, and when he gets an idea in his head, he obsesses about it. my Mom is very depressed, because she used to be able to rely on him, but now she cant. on top of my dad being very upseting, my brothers are very stressful to her. they are so dependant on her, it's pitiful! and in the middle of all this, i'm being made the "Man of the House", and i'm only 14!! i have to learn how to do the cooking, the plumbing, the auto-repair, and many other things!!

put all of this together, and you get one very crazy kid!
